clearance,
all-terrain tires, heavy-duty axles, shocks and springs, a turbocharged and
intercooled high-torque diesel engine, rugged 2-speed (hi/low range) transfer
case and a smooth-shifting 5-speed manual transmission. Heavy-duty front locking
hubs and constant velocity joints also help ensure the FG tracks and turns
reliably when other trucks are just spinning their wheels. The FG is ideal for
applications
from light construction and golf courses to utility and energy company service
vehicles, even snow plowing. The dependable FG keeps on going and going – just
like you. And it’s the only 4X4 cabover in the industry.
Available in Class 3, 12,000 (FG 639) and Class 4, 14,050 (FG 649) GVWRs the FG is the only 4-wheel-drive, medium-duty cab over on the market. A rugged frame and fully trimmed 3-person cab, including side door crush bars and collapsible steering wheel. Plus liquid cab mounts for a smoother, quieter ride. The FG's 145 hp diesel engine is intercooled and turbocharged. A 4-speed automatic with heavy-duty transmission cooler is standard on FG 639 model. 5-speed manual transmission is standard on the FG 649. Optional available limited slip differential gives the FG excellent grip and control in mud, snow or slippery conditions.
