Wan Tai Company traces its history to a simple trade deal when its founder bought a goods lorry and sold it to a friend for a modest profit. Realising that this was a good way to earn an income, he sold some more and made enough money to set up a small transportation business.
In 1969, Wan Tai Company was registered. It started as a small shop selling spare parts for European vehicles but later moved into importing and selling Japanese trucks and cars, because these were more popular. This became the company's core business.
About ten years ago, Wan Tai reintroduced the sale of spare parts. This operation began as an after-sales service but turned out to be very profitable and has developed into a strong department of the company.
Wan Tai Company is now an international leader in the trucking business, with customers from Africa to the South Pacific. It supplies trucks and heavy machinery for the transportation, construction and timber industries, and spare parts for both trucks and cars. |
